There is a light that never goes out

Speaking of resolutions, my mind wandered around things I like to do, with the aim to do more of them and see what happens.

Today I picked something not that sophisticated, meaning I chose a simple walk in nature to get inspiration for the blessings of the day. Although I started with a veil that prevented me of thinking something exciting or, at least, interesting, there were some twists to spice up my afternoon walk.

Observation was the first stop: sitting at a coffee shop, drinking a cup of hot green tea, observing people come and go, random couples and bunches of friends, talking about life, work, kids, hobbies and staff. People different, but also people like me. Other sociable and funny, other in a hurry, other dragging their significant ones to window shopping and other enjoying some relaxing time amidst the (not yet finished) holiday break.

Next stop: flowers. Colourful, fresh, cute, sparking joy πŸ™‚ Always bringing life at home, and warmth in the heart.

And then, groceries. Another long-term passion came to life here, this for baking and cooking, and then for experimenting and tasting. Thus, some fancy and some necessary ingredients were added into my basket.

Finally, a new “acquaintance” at the pharmacy store, a kind lady with whom we exchanged beauty advice and set up an appointment for further beauty care rituals, has become my last “serendipity” for the day.

The aftermath? Flowers, a plant, a pal, two recipes in the oven and a heart full of blessings.

Seems that there is indeed a light within, that never goes out, given that it is given the room and the chances to show up.

That went well again πŸ™‚
